Experiences with species

I had seen Northern Royal at their breeding grounds near Dunedin. I really wanted to see one of the white-backed Albatrosses in Southern African waters, so got on a pelagic in August to hopefully be out at sea at the best possible time. We were lucky enough to encounter both Southern and Northern Royals on this trip in 2009.
