Experiences with species Our sights were firmly set on Barau's Petrel, so when Rich called it, why should I think differently. I dropped my camera from photographing Great-winged Petrels, looked quickly and shot the camera up again, "that's not Barau's, that's TROPICAL SHEARWATER!" I shouted! The bird didn't give us much chance, but most people on the boat got onto the bird, before it whipped away out of sight. Other names: Audubon's Shearwater (split off) |
