Experiences with species

I had looked for these birds on many an occasion at Marievale, where sightings are often reported from. On seeing a large dark Harrier flying along the veld, I was out of the car in a flash to identify the bird. I then had to "chase" after it as it headed over the reed beds, managing to get some mediocre shots.
