Experiences with species This is an exceptionally common bird in the North-Eastern parts of South Africa, and normally seen as soon as one drives onto dirt roads in rural areas. The Kirk's Francolin which some consider as a separate species is found in Mozambique, and as well as it's streaked, not barred belly, it has a distinctly different call. Other names: Bush Partridge, Kirk's Francolin, Kirk's Bush Partridge |
