Lesser Noddy Anous tenuirostris (341)
(Kleinbruinsterretjie)
Experiences with species

A bird pitched up at Cape St. Francis, all and sundry were twitching it, but I had to wait a few days. I eventually got down there and bumped into a few fellow twitchers - not a sign of the bird. We were chatting when Robin looked over my shoulder and said "there it bloody is, it's just landed!". It didn't stay long, I got a few misty shots - so I decided to wait several hours until it pitched again. Super rare in our region, it was worth the wait.
