Experiences with species I first saw this Owl when on Honeymoon in the Okavango. On arriving, the camp manager asked me - "I suppose you want to see a Pel's!?" Of course! That afternoon we went on a boat cruise, and the guide very quickly picked one out, roosting in a tree next to the river. We saw four more while staying there, one roosting within 50 metres of a Verreaux's Eagle Owl! These photos were taken during a walk in Mkuze, we saw both the male and female Owls. Other names: - |
