Pied Kingfisher Ceryle rudis (428)
(Bontvisvanger)
Experiences with species

Pied Kingfishers are widespread, found at water. They have a distinctive hovering flight when fishing. Apparently this is the largest bird that is able to hover without wind assistance, which Kites and Kestrels require.
