Experiences with species I looked for this bird for a long time, before being alerted to one's presence at Voortrekker Monument, by one of the Sanparks forum members. I made a plan to get there the next day, and after walking down the road, up the road, was getting a bit despondent, although I had seen a Black Cuckooshrike which is quite something for urban Gauteng. As I was about to give up, this bird popped up in a tree near the road! Other names: Sharp-billed Honeyguide / Wahlberg's Honeybird |
