Experiences with species
Oxpeckers are threatened by use of pesticides on domestic animals. Various
re-introduction programmes are underway to get them back into their former ranges. The juvenile has a yellowish bill, which can lead
to confusing ID. The bill is however a lot less "heavy" than the Yellow-billed.
