Olive-headed Weaver Ploceus olivaceiceps
(Olyfkopwewer)
Experiences with species

These Weavers are restricted to the forest near Panda in Mozambique, where they nest and forage in the Usnea, known as Old man's beard. We stayed at Hyliota camp and found far better habitat than the traditional site, on the 45km access road to Hyliota camp. This is good news, as the "normal" weaver site is getting systematically de-forested by the locals to plant crops.
