Experiences with species My previous view of these Mannikins had been of them flying over us at Monavale Vlei in Zimbabwe. They have been visiting a garden in Tzaneen (well out of their normal range) for some time now, it made a worthwhile detour stopping past "Skopsie's" house and getting to (closer) grips with this bird, which was also a lifer for Debbie.
