Experiences with species In 2008, I hadn't seen these Lapwings in a very long time, but then I hadn't made an effort to find them! With co-ordinates from members of the SA Birdnet, I set off to Midmar, and I was lucky to discover a family group of 20. Now I've seen huge flocks at Kei Mouth and Mpempe Pan - to me they always look surprised to see you with those big pale eyes. Other names: Black-winged Plover |
