Experiences with species Pectoral Sandpipers are vagrants to Southern Africa, although they are recorded most years. We had "dipped" on one near Polokwane, then this one pitched up at Rooikoppies dam near Brits, so a morning excursion before work became necessary. Mkhombo Dam has now proved a good spot to find these for the last two years. Other names: - |
