Experiences with species
These Hornbills are similar to the Red-billed Hornbill and were
only recently split. They have a dark, not pale eye, and normally have a much whiter cheek. The birds seen around the Etosha area
appeared to be a hybrid of the two, having a darker cheek, but dark eye, although normal Red-billed's were seen as well.
